Protection for you

If you believe your rights have been violated during the unionization drive, contact us immediately.

Trust us when we say that we - and particularly our lawyers - do not take unfair labour practices lightly. Our full resources will be at your disposal to make sure that your rights are protected.

If your rights are violated, we will file a complaint with the BC Labour Relations Board (LRB). Under the BC Labour Code, the LRB is required to look into the matter immediately - and if the complaint isn't settled or withdrawn, here's what happens next:

  • Within three days of the complaint being filed, the LRB will move forward with a hearing.
  • Provide its decision no more than two days after the hearing ends.

As to the outcome of the hearing, while there are no guarantees, your rights are very fully detailed in the BC Labour Code - any discrimination or disciplinary action against you for your union activities will not be tolerated.
